I know, I know. It's been a LONG time. (Isn't that what we all are supposed to say when we haven't blogged in a while?)
The busy summer is here, and to start it off, I took a bit of time off for education. First, I had the honor of teaching a 3 day class at Kansas Professional Photography School in the Wichita area. I took off driving on a Sunday, arrived after 12 hours to the welcoming abode of my friend Linda, spent the day with her on Monday and got to see her studio, home, hear all about her daughters time in the Peace Corps, have the best lunch ever, dinner, and a visit to Morts. It was a fun time, and all too short, and I drove over to the school location Monday evening. Class started Tuesday afternoon, and I had a GREAT class! Eager to learn as much as I was eager to teach. I love it when that happens! Tuesday night I also led a senior photo safari, and the atmosphere was very interesting. The air was hazy, but the sun was shining through the haze as a little golden ball, and leaving a kiss of golden light on everything. Nothing like I have ever seen before. It turns out that it was hazy from the smoke of the Arizona wildfires, and it was smoke in the air blowing across the states. It wasn't a thick smoke, just enough to think it was partly cloudy, except it wasn't. It did, however, make for a beautiful evening for portraits.
We photographed real-people models during the class, talked about products, pricing, client tracking, and marketing. FUN, FUN, FUN! Here are a few images captured during the class......

Thank you KPPS for a GREAT time, wonderful models, and welcome arms. I really enjoyed being there with you!
